Yusuf Ali (English) It is never the wish of those without Faith among the People of the Book, nor of the Pagans, that anything good should come down to you from your Lord. But Allah will choose for His special Mercy whom He will - for Allah is Lord of grace abounding.

Yusuf Ali (English) O ye who believe! the law of equality(182) is prescribed to you in cases of murder(183): the free for the free, the slave for the slave, the woman for the woman. But if any remission is made by the brother(184) of the slain, then grant any reasonable demand(185), and compensate him with handsome gratitude, this is a concession and a Mercy from your Lord. After this whoever exceeds the limits shall be in grave penalty.*

Yusuf Ali (English) It is no crime in you if ye seek of the bounty of your Lord (during pilgrimage)(219). Then when ye pour down from (Mount) Arafat, celebrate the praises of Allah at the Sacred Monument(220), and celebrate His praises as He has directed you, even though, before this, ye went astray(221).*

Yusuf Ali (English) And (further) their Prophet said to them: "A Sign of his authority is that there shall come to you the Ark of the covenant(281), with (an assurance) therein of security(282) from your Lord, and the relics left by the family of Moses and the family of Aaron, carried by angels(283). In this is a symbol for you if ye indeed have faith."*
9 Ali 'Imran Verse 49 (3:49:10) رَبِّكُمْۙ ربكم rabbikum your Lord ر ب ب
Yusuf Ali (English) "And (appoint him) a messenger to the Children of Israel, (with this message): "´I have come to you, with a Sign from your Lord, in that I make for you out of clay, as it were, the figure of a bird, and breathe into it, and it becomes a bird by Allah's leave(390): And I heal those born blind, and the lepers, and I quicken the dead, by Allah.s leave; and I declare to you what ye eat, and what ye store(391) in your houses. Surely therein is a Sign for you if ye did believe;*

It is the revelation that cometh to thee from thy Lord, that increaseth in most of them their obstinate rebellion and blasphemy. But sorrow thou not over (these) people without Faith.(778)*

Yusuf Ali (English) They do blaspheme who say: "(Allah) is Christ the son of Mary." But said Christ:(782) "O Children of Israel! worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord." Whoever joins other gods with Allah,- Allah will forbid him the garden, and the Fire will be his abode. There will for the wrong-doers be no one to help.*

Yusuf Ali (English) If they accuse thee of falsehood, say: "Your Lord is full of mercy all- embracing; but from people in guilt never will His wrath be turned back.
27 Al-An'am Verse 151 (6:151:6) رَبُّكُمْ ربكم rabbukum your Lord ر ب ب
Yusuf Ali (English) Say: "Come, I will rehearse what Allah hath (really)(976) prohibited you from": Join not anything as equal with Him; be good to your parents; kill not your children on a plea of want;- We provide sustenance for you and for them;- come not nigh to shameful deeds. Whether open or secret; take not life, which Allah hath made sacred, except by way of justice and law:(977) thus doth He command you, that ye may learn wisdom.*
28 Al-An'am Verse 157 (6:157:15) رَبِّكُمْ ربكم rabbikum your Lord ر ب ب
Yusuf Ali (English) Or lest ye should say: "If the Book had only been sent down to us, we should have followed its guidance better than they." Now then hath come unto you a clear (sign)(982) from your Lord,- and a guide and a mercy: then who could do more wrong than one who rejecteth Allah.s signs, and turneth away therefrom? In good time shall We requite those who turn away from Our signs, with a dreadful penalty, for their turning away.*
29 Al-An'am Verse 164 (6:164:23) رَبِّكُمْ ربكم rabbikum your Lord ر ب ب
Yusuf Ali (English) Say: "Shall I seek for (my) Cherisher other than Allah, when He is the Cherisher of all things (that exist)? Every soul draws the meed of its acts on none(987) but itself: no bearer of burdens can bear of burdens can bear the burden of another. Your goal in the end is towards Allah. He will tell you the truth of the things wherein ye disputed."*
30 Al-A'raf Verse 3 (7:3:6) رَبِّكُمْ ربكم rabbikum your Lord ر ب ب
Yusuf Ali (English) Follow (O men!) the revelation given unto you from your Lord, and follow not, as friends or protectors, other than Him. Little it is ye remember of admonition.(991)*
31 Al-A'raf Verse 20 (7:20:14) رَبُّكُمَا ربكما rabbukumâ your Lord ر ب ب
Yusuf Ali (English) Then began Satan(1005) to whisper suggestions to them, in order to reveal to them their shame(1006) that was hidden from them (before): he said: "Your Lord only forbade you this tree, lest ye should become angels or such beings as live forever."*

Yusuf Ali (English) The Companions of the Garden will call out to the Companions of the Fire: "We have indeed found the promises of our Lord to us true: Have you also found Your Lord´s promises true?" They shall say, "Yes"; but(1023) a crier shall proclaim between them: "The curse of Allah is on the wrong-doers;-*
33 Al-A'raf Verse 54 (7:54:2) رَبَّكُمُ ربكم rabbekumu your Lord ر ب ب
Yusuf Ali (English) Your Guardian-Lord is Allah, Who created the heavens and the earth(1031) in six days, and is firmly established on the throne(1032) (of authority): He draweth the night as a veil o´er the day, each seeking the other in rapid succession: He created the sun, the moon, and the stars, (all) governed by laws under His command. Is it not His to create and to govern? Blessed be Allah, the Cherisher and Sustainer of the worlds!*
34 Al-A'raf Verse 55 (7:55:2) رَبَّكُمْ ربكم rabbekum your Lord ر ب ب
Yusuf Ali (English) Call on your Lord with humility and in private:(1033) for Allah loveth not those who trespass beyond bounds.*

Yusuf Ali (English) "Do ye wonder that there hath come to you a message from your Lord, through a man of your own people, to warn you,- so that ye may fear Allah and haply receive His Mercy?"

37 Al-A'raf Verse 71 (7:71:6) رَبِّكُمْ ربكم rabbikum your Lord ر ب ب
Yusuf Ali (English) He said: "Punishment and wrath have already(1041) come upon you from your Lord: dispute ye with me over names which ye(1042) have devised - ye and your fathers,- without authority from Allah. then wait: I am amongst you, also waiting."*
38 Al-A'raf Verse 73 (7:73:19) رَبِّكُمْۜ ربكم rabbikum your Lord ر ب ب
Yusuf Ali (English) To the Thamud people(1043) (We sent) Salih, one of their own brethren: He said: "O my people! worship Allah. ye have no other god but Him. Now hath come unto you a clear (Sign) from your Lord! This she-camel of Allah is a Sign unto you: So leave her to graze in Allah.s earth, and let her come to no harm, or ye shall be seized with a grievous punishment.(1044)*
39 Al-A'raf Verse 85 (7:85:19) رَبِّكُمْ ربكم rabbikum your Lord ر ب ب
Yusuf Ali (English) To the Madyan people(1053) We sent Shu´ayb,(1054) one of their own brethren: he said: "O my people! worship Allah. Ye have no other god but Him. Now hath come unto you a clear (Sign) from your Lord! Give just measure and weight, nor withhold from the people the things that are their due; and do no mischief on the earth after it has been set in order: that will be best for you, if ye have Faith.*

Yusuf Ali (English) One for whom it is right to say nothing but truth about Allah. Now have I come unto you (people), from(1073) your Lord, with a clear (Sign): So let the Children of Israel depart along with me."*

Yusuf Ali (English) And remember We rescued you from Pharaoh´s people, who afflicted you with the worst of penalties, who slew your male children and saved alive your females: in that was a momentous trial from your Lord.(1099)*

He put down the Tablets,(1116) seized his brother by (the hair of) his head, and dragged him(1117) to him. Aaron said: "Son of my mother! the people did indeed reckon me as naught, and went near to slaying me! Make not the enemies rejoice over my misfortune, nor count thou me amongst the people of sin."(1118)*
44 Al-A'raf Verse 164 (7:164:0) رَبِّكُمْ ربكم rabbikum your Lord ر ب ب
Yusuf Ali (English) When some of them said: "Why do ye preach to a people whom Allah will destroy or visit with a terrible punishment?"-(1138) said the preachers:" To discharge our duty to your Lord, and perchance they may fear Him."*
45 Al-A'raf Verse 172 (7:172:0) بِرَبِّكُمْۜ بربكم bi-rabbikum your Lord ر ب ب
Yusuf Ali (English) When thy Lord drew forth(1146) from the Children of Adam - from their loins - their descendants, and made them testify concerning themselves, (saying): "Am I not your Lord (who cherishes and sustains you)?"- They said: "Yea! We do testify!"(1147) (This), lest ye should say on the Day of Judgment: "Of this we were never mindful":*

Yusuf Ali (English) If thou bring them not a revelation,(1174) they say: "Why hast thou not got it together?" Say: "I but follow what is revealed to me from my Lord: this is (nothing but) lights from your Lord,(1175) and Guidance, and mercy, for any who have faith."*
