2 An-Nisa Verse 131 (4:131:31) غَنِيًّا غنيا ġaniyyen Free of need غ ن ي
Yusuf Ali (English) To Allah belong all things in the heavens and on earth.(640) Verily we have directed the People of the Book before you, and you (o Muslims) to fear Allah. But if ye deny Him, lo! unto Allah belong all things in the heavens and on earth, and Allah is free of all wants, worthy(641) of all praise.*
3 An-Nisa Verse 135 (4:135:18) غَنِيًّا غنيا ġaniyyen rich غ ن ي
Yusuf Ali (English) O ye who believe! stand out firmly for justice, as witnesses(644) to Allah, even as against yourselves, or your parents, or your kin, and whether it be (against) rich or poor:(645) for Allah can best protect both. Follow not the lusts (of your hearts), lest ye swerve, and if ye distort (justice) or decline to do justice, verily Allah is well- acquainted with all that ye do.*

Yusuf Ali (English) Kind words(309) and the covering of faults are better than charity followed by injury. Allah is free of all wants, and He is Most-Forbearing.*
5 Al-Baqarah Verse 267 (2:267:29) غَنِيٌّ غني ġaniyyun (is) Self-Sufficient غ ن ي
Yusuf Ali (English) O ye who believe! Give of the good things which ye have (honourably) earned(314), and of the fruits of the earth which We have produced for you, and do not even aim(315) at getting anything which is bad, in order that out of it ye may give away something, when ye yourselves would not receive it except with closed eyes(316). And know that Allah is Free of all wants, and worthy of all praise(317).*
6 Ali 'Imran Verse 97 (3:97:23) غَنِيٌّ غني ġaniyyun (is) free from need غ ن ي
Yusuf Ali (English) In it are Signs Manifest; (for example), the Station of Abraham(424); whoever enters it attains security(425); Pilgrimage thereto is a duty men owe to Allah,- those who can afford the journey; but if any deny faith, Allah stands not in need of any of His creatures.*
7 An-Naml Verse 40 (27:40:37) غَنِيٌّ غني ġaniyyun (is) Self-sufficient غ ن ي
Yusuf Ali (English) Said one who had knowledge(3275) of the Book: "I will bring it to thee within the twinkling of an eye!" Then when (Solomon) saw it placed firmly before him, he said: "This is by the Grace of my Lord!-(3276) to test me whether I am grateful or ungrateful! and if any is grateful, truly his gratitude is (a gain) for his own soul; but if any is ungrateful, truly my Lord is Free of all Needs, Supreme in Honour !"(3277)*
8 Luqman Verse 12 (31:12:17) غَنِيٌّ غني ġaniyyun (is) Free of need غ ن ي
Yusuf Ali (English) We bestowed (in the past) Wisdom on Luqman:(3593) "Show (thy) gratitude to Allah." Any who is (so) grateful does so to the profit of his own soul: but if any is ungrateful, verily(3594) Allah is free of all wants, Worthy of all praise.*
9 Az-Zumar Verse 7 (39:7:5) غَنِيٌّ غني ġaniyyun (is) free from need غ ن ي
Yusuf Ali (English) If ye reject (Allah), Truly Allah hath no need of you; but He liketh not(4254) ingratitude from His servants: if ye are grateful, He is pleased with you. No bearer of burdens(4255) can bear the burden of another. In the end, to your Lord is your Return, when He will tell you the truth of all that ye did (in this life). for He knoweth well all that is in (men´s) hearts.*
10 At-Taghabun Verse 6 (64:6:15) غَنِيٌّ غني ġaniyyun (is) Self-sufficient غ ن ي
Yusuf Ali (English) That was because there came to them messengers with Clear Signs, but they said: "Shall (mere) human beings(5485) direct us?" So they rejected (the Message) and turned away. But Allah can do without (them): and Allah is(5486) free of all needs, worthy of all praise.*
11 'Abasa Verse 5 (80:5:3) اسْتَغْنٰىۙ استغنى -staġnâ considers himself free from need غ ن ي

Yusuf Ali (English) And We had firmly established them in a (prosperity and) power which We have not given to you (ye Quraish!) and We had endowed them with (faculties of)(4804) hearing, seeing, heart and intellect: but of no profit to them were their (faculties of) hearing, sight, and heart and intellect, when they went on rejecting the Signs(4805) of Allah. and they were (completely) encircled(4806) by that which they used to mock at!*
19 An-Najm Verse 48 (53:48:3) اَغْنٰى اغنى aġnâ enriches غ ن ي
Yusuf Ali (English) That it is He Who giveth wealth and satisfaction;(5118)*

Yusuf Ali (English) They swear by Allah that they said nothing (evil), but indeed they uttered blasphemy, and they did it after accepting Islam; and they meditated(1331) a plot which they were unable to carry out: this revenge of theirs was (their) only return for the bounty with which Allah and His Messenger had enriched them! If they repent, it will be best for them; but if they turn back (to their evil ways), Allah will punish them with a grievous penalty in this life and in the Hereafter: They shall have none on earth to protect or help them.*
23 Hud Verse 101 (11:101:7) اَغْنَتْ اغنت aġnet availed غ ن ي
Yusuf Ali (English) It was not We that wronged them: They wronged their own souls: the deities, other than Allah, whom they invoked, profited them no whit when there issued the decree of thy Lord:(1603) Nor did they add aught (to their lot) but perdition!*

Yusuf Ali (English) The ground (of complaint) is against such as claim exemption while they are rich. They prefer to stay with the (women) who remain behind: Allah hath sealed their hearts; so they know not (What they miss)(1345).*
25 Al-Baqarah Verse 273 (2:273:14) اَغْنِيَٓاءَ اغنياء aġniyâe (that they are) self-sufficient غ ن ي
Yusuf Ali (English) (Charity is) for those in need, who, in Allah.s cause (322)are restricted (from travel), and cannot move about in the land, seeking (For trade or work): the ignorant man thinks, because of their modesty, that they are free from want. Thou shalt know them by their (Unfailing) mark: They beg not importunately from all the sundry. And whatever of good ye give, be assured Allah knoweth it well.*
26 Ali 'Imran Verse 181 (3:181:11) اَغْنِيَٓاءُۢ اغنياء aġniyâun (are) rich غ ن ي
Yusuf Ali (English) Allah hath heard the taunt of those who say: "Truly, Allah(486) is indigent and we are rich!"- We shall certainly record their word and (their act) of slaying the prophets in defiance(487) of right, and We shall say: "Taste ye the penalty of the Scorching Fire!*
27 Ad-Duha Verse 8 (93:8:3) فَاَغْنٰىۜ فاغنى fe-aġnâ so He made self-sufficient غ ن ي
Yusuf Ali (English) And He found thee in need, and made thee independent.(6184)*

Yusuf Ali (English) Thy Lord is self-sufficient,(955) full of Mercy: if it were His will, He could destroy you, and in your place appoint whom He will as your successors, even as He raised you up from the posterity of other people.*

But any who are niggardly are so at the expense of their own souls. But Allah is free of all wants, and it is ye that are needy. If ye turn back(4865) (from the Path), He will substitute in your stead another people; then they would not be like you!*
34 Al-Hadid Verse 24 (57:24:11) الْغَنِيُّ الغني l-ġaniyyu (is) Free of need غ ن ي
Yusuf Ali (English) Such persons as are(5311) covetous and commend covetousness to men. And if any turn back(5312) (from Allah.s Way), verily Allah is Free of all Needs, Worthy of all Praise.*
35 Al-Mumtahanah Verse 6 (60:6:18) الْغَنِيُّ الغني l-ġanniyyu (is) Free of need غ ن ي
Yusuf Ali (English) There was indeed in them(5418) an excellent example for you to follow,- for those whose hope is in Allah and in the Last Day. But if any turn away, truly Allah is Free of all(5419) Wants, Worthy of all Praise.*
36 Al-Hashr Verse 7 (59:7:22) الْاَغْنِيَٓاءِ الاغنياء l-aġniyâ-i the rich غ ن ي
Yusuf Ali (English) What Allah has bestowed(5379) on His Messenger (and taken away) from the people(5380) of the townships,- belongs to Allah,- to His Messenger(5381) and to kindred and orphans, the needy and the wayfarer; In order that it may not (merely) make a circuit between the wealthy among you. So take what the Messenger assigns to you, and deny yourselves that which he withholds from you.(5381-A) And fear Allah. for Allah is strict in Punishment.*
37 Ibrahim Verse 8 (14:8:12) لَغَنِيٌّ لغني le-ġaniyyun certainly (is) Free of need غ ن ي
Yusuf Ali (English) And Moses said: "If ye show ingratitude,(1880) ye and all on earth together, yet is Allah free of all wants,(1881) worthy of all praise.*
38 Al-'Ankabut Verse 6 (29:6:8) لَغَنِيٌّ لغني le-ġaniyyun (is) Free from need غ ن ي
Yusuf Ali (English) And if any strive (with might and main), they do so for their own souls:(3428) for Allah is free of all needs from all creation.*
39 Ibrahim Verse 21 (14:21:14) مُغْنُونَ مغنون muġnûne the one who avails غ ن ي
Yusuf Ali (English) They will all be marshalled before Allah together: then will the weak say to those(1895) who were arrogant, "For us, we but followed you; can ye then avail us to all against the wrath of Allah." They will reply, "If we had received the Guidance(1896) of Allah, we should have given it to you: to us it makes no difference (now) whether we rage, or bear (these torments) with patience: for ourselves there is no way of escape."*
40 Ghafir Verse 47 (40:47:15) مُغْنُونَ مغنون muġnûne avert غ ن ي
Yusuf Ali (English) Behold, they will dispute with each other in the Fire!(4420) The weak ones (who followed) will say to those who had been arrogant, "We but followed you: Can ye then take (on yourselves) from us some share of the Fire?*
41 Yunus Verse 24 (10:24:0) تَغْنَ تغن taġne it had flourished غ ن ي
Yusuf Ali (English) The likeness of the life of the present is as the rain which We send down from the skies:(1412) by its mingling arises the produce of the earth- which provides food for men and animals: (It grows) till the earth is clad with its golden ornaments and is decked out (in beauty): the people to whom it belongs think they have all powers of disposal over it: There reaches it Our command by night or by day, and We make it like a harvest clean-mown, as if it had not flourished only the day before! thus do We explain the Signs in detail for those who reflect.*
42 At-Tawbah Verse 25 (9:25:0) تُغْنِ تغن tuġni availed غ ن ي
Yusuf Ali (English) Assuredly Allah did help you in many battle-fields and on the day of Hunayn:(1274) Behold! your great numbers elated you, but they availed you naught: the land, for all that it is wide, did constrain you, and ye turned back in retreat.(1275)*
43 Yunus Verse 101 (10:101:0) تُغْنِي تغني tuġnî will avail غ ن ي
Yusuf Ali (English) Say: "Behold all that is in the heavens and on earth"; but neither Signs nor Warners profit those who believe not.(1483)*
