Yusuf Ali (English) Ramadhan is the (month) in which was sent down the Qur´an, as a guide to mankind, also clear (Signs) for guidance and judgment(192) (Between right and wrong). So every one of you who is present (at his home) during that month should spend it in fasting, but if any one is ill, or on a journey, the prescribed period (Should be made up) by days later. Allah intends every facility for you; He does not want to put to difficulties. (He wants you) to complete the prescribed period, and to glorify Him(193) in that He has guided you; and perchance ye shall be grateful.*
2 Al-Baqarah Verse 228 (2:228:5) قُرُٓوءٍۜ قروء kurû(in) monthly periods ق ر أ
Yusuf Ali (English) Divorced women shall wait concerning themselves for three monthly periods. Nor is it lawful for them to hide what Allah Hath created in their wombs, if they have faith in Allah and the Last Day. And their husbands have the better right to take them back in that period, if they wish for reconciliation(254). And women shall have rights similar to the rights against them, according to what is equitable; but men have a degree (of advantage) over them(255). And Allah is Exalted in Power, Wise.*
3 An-Nisa Verse 82 (4:82:3) الْقُرْاٰنَۜ القران l-kur-ân(e) (on) the Quran ق ر أ
Yusuf Ali (English) Do they not consider the Qur´an (with care)? Had it been from other Than Allah, they would surely have found therein Much discrepancy.(601)*

5 Al-An'am Verse 19 (6:19:14) الْقُرْاٰنُ القران l-kur-ânu [the] Quran ق ر أ
Yusuf Ali (English) Say: "What thing is most weighty in evidence?" Say: "(Allah) is witness between me and you; This Qur´an hath been revealed to me by inspiration, that I may warn you and all whom it reaches. Can ye possibly bear witness that besides Allah there is another Allah." Say: "Nay! I cannot bear witness!" Say: "But in truth He is the one Allah, and I truly am innocent of (your blasphemy of) joining others with Him."

9 Yunus Verse 15 (10:15:0) بِقُرْاٰنٍ بقران bi-kur-ânin a Quran ق ر أ
Yusuf Ali (English) But when Our Clear Signs are rehearsed unto them, those who rest not their hope on their meeting with Us, Say: "Bring us a Reading(1402) other than this, or change this," Say: "It is not for me, of my own accord, to change it: I follow naught but what is revealed unto me: if I were to disobey my Lord, I should myself fear the penalty of a Great Day (to come)."*
10 Yunus Verse 37 (10:37:0) الْقُرْاٰنُ القران l-kur-ânu the Quran ق ر أ
Yusuf Ali (English) This Qur´an is not such as can be produced by other than Allah. on the contrary it is a confirmation of (revelations) that went before it, and a fuller explanation of the Book(1429) - wherein there is no doubt - from the Lord of the worlds.*
11 Yunus Verse 61 (10:61:0) قُرْاٰنٍ قران kur-ânin (the) Quran ق ر أ
Yusuf Ali (English) In whatever business thou mayest be, and whatever portion thou mayest be reciting from the Qur´an,- and whatever deed ye (mankind) may be doing,- We are witnesses thereof when ye are deeply engrossed therein. Nor is hidden from thy Lord (so much as) the weight of an atom on the earth or in heaven. And not the least and not the greatest of these things but are recorded in a clear Record.(1450)*
12 Yunus Verse 94 (10:94:0) يَقْرَؤُ۫نَ يقرؤن yakraûne (have been) reading ق ر أ
Yusuf Ali (English) If thou wert in doubt as to what We have revealed unto thee, then ask those who have been reading the Book from before thee:(1475) the Truth hath indeed come to thee from thy Lord: so be in no wise of those in doubt.(1476)*

Yusuf Ali (English) If there were a Qur´an with which mountains were moved, or the earth were cloven asunder, or the dead were made to speak, (this would be the one!) But, truly, the command is with Allah in all things!(1847) Do not the Believers know, that, had Allah (so) willed, He could have guided all mankind (to the right)? But the Unbelievers,- never will disaster cease to seize them for their (ill) deeds, or to settle close to their homes, until the promise of Allah come to pass, for, verily, Allah will not fail in His promise.(1848)*

Yusuf Ali (English) One day We shall call together all human beings with their (respective) Imams:(2266) those who are given their record in their right hand will read it (with pleasure), and they will not be dealt with unjustly in the least.(2267)*

34 Al-Isra Verse 93 (17:93:18) نَقْرَؤُ۬هُۜ نقرؤه nakrauh(u) we could read it ق ر أ
Yusuf Ali (English) "Or thou have a house adorned with gold, or thou mount a ladder right into the skies.(2296) No, we shall not even believe in thy mounting until thou send down to us a book that we can read."(2297) Say: "Glory to my Lord! Am I aught but a man,- a messenger?"(2298)*

43 Ash-Shu'ara Verse 199 (26:199:1) فَقَرَاَهُ فقراه fe-karaehu And he (had) recited it ق ر أ

Yusuf Ali (English) verily We have propounded for men, in this Qur´an every kind of Parable: But if thou bring to them any Sign, the Unbelievers(3576) are sure to say, "Ye do nothing but talk vanities."*

Yusuf Ali (English) The Unbelievers say: "We shall neither believe in this scripture nor in (any) that (came) before it."(3834) Couldst thou but see when the wrong-doers will be made to stand before their Lord, throwing back the word (of blame)(3835) on one another! Those who had been despised will say to the arrogant ones:(3836) "Had it not been for you, we should certainly have been believers!"*
