Yusuf Ali (English) Will they wait until Allah comes to them in canopies of clouds, with angels (in His train) and the question is (thus) settled? but to Allah do all questions go back (for decision)(231).*

Yusuf Ali (English) But no, by the Lord, they can have no (real) Faith, until they make thee judge in all disputes between them, and find in their souls no resistance against Thy decisions, but accept them with the fullest conviction.(583)*

Yusuf Ali (English) When ye pass(619) (Congregational) prayers, celebrate Allah.s praises, standing, sitting down, or lying down on your sides; but when ye are free from danger, set up Regular Prayers: For such prayers are enjoined on believers at stated times.*
7 Al-An'am Verse 2 (6:2:7) قَضٰٓى قضى kadâ He decreed ق ض ي
Yusuf Ali (English) He it is created(836) you from clay, and then decreed a stated term(837) (for you). And there is in His presence another determined term; yet ye doubt within yourselves!*
8 Al-An'am Verse 8 (6:8:9) لَقُضِيَ لقضي lekudiye surely (would) have been decided ق ض ي
Yusuf Ali (English) They say: "Why is not an angel sent down to him?" If we did send down an angel, the matter would be settled at once, and no respite would be granted them.(841)*

10 Al-An'am Verse 60 (6:60:12) لِيُقْضٰٓى ليقضى li-yukdâ so that is fulfilled ق ض ي
Yusuf Ali (English) It is He who doth take your souls by night, and hath knowledge of all that ye have done by day: by day doth He raise you up again; that a term appointed be fulfilled; In the end unto Him will be your return;(881) then will He show you the truth of all that ye did.*
11 Al-Anfal Verse 42 (8:42:0) لِيَقْضِيَ ليقضي li-yakdiya that might accomplish ق ض ي
Yusuf Ali (English) Remember ye were on the hither side of the valley, and they on the farther side, and the caravan(1212) on lower ground than ye. Even if ye had made a mutual appointment to meet, ye would certainly have failed in the appointment:(1213) But (thus ye met), that Allah might accomplish a matter already enacted; that those who died might die after a clear Sign (had been given), and those who lived might live after a Clear Sign (had been given). And verily Allah is He Who heareth and knoweth (all things).*
12 Al-Anfal Verse 44 (8:44:0) لِيَقْضِيَ ليقضي li-yekdiya that might accomplish ق ض ي
Yusuf Ali (English) And remember when ye met, He showed them to you as few in your eyes, and He made you appear as contemptible in their eyes:(1214) that Allah might accomplish a matter already enacted. For to Allah do all questions go back (for decision).*

Yusuf Ali (English) If Allah were to hasten for men the ill (they have earned) as they would fain hasten on the good,- then would their respite be settled at once.(1398) But We leave those who rest not their hope on their meeting with Us, in their trespasses, wandering in distraction to and fro.*

Yusuf Ali (English) Mankind was but one nation,(1406) but differed (later). Had it not been for a Word(1407) that went forth before from thy Lord, their differences would have been settled between them.*

Yusuf Ali (English) Relate to them the story(1456) of Noah. Behold! he said to his people: "O my people, if it be hard on your (mind) that I should stay (with you) and commemorate the signs of Allah,- yet I put my trust in Allah. Get ye then an agreement about your plan and among your partners, so your plan(1457) be on to you dark and dubious. Then pass your sentence on me, and give me no respite.*

Yusuf Ali (English) We settled the Children of Israel in a beautiful(1474) dwelling-place, and provided for them sustenance of the best: it was after knowledge had been granted to them, that they fell into schisms. Verily Allah will judge between them as to the schisms amongst them, on the Day of Judgment.*

Yusuf Ali (English) "O my two companions(1694) of the prison! As to one of you, he will pour out the wine for his lord to drink:(1695) as for the other, he will hang from the cross, and the birds will eat from off his head(1696). (So) hath been decreed that matter whereof ye twain do enquire"...*

For he was, by our instruction, full of knowledge (and experience): but most men know not.(1733)*
23 Ibrahim Verse 22 (14:22:4) قُضِيَ قضي kudiye has been decided ق ض ي
Yusuf Ali (English) And Satan will say when the matter is decided:(1897) "It was Allah Who gave you a promise of Truth: I too promised, but I failed in my promise to you. I had no authority over you except to call you but ye listened to me: then reproach not me, but reproach your own souls. I cannot listen to your cries, nor can ye listen to mine. I reject(1898) your former act in associating me with Allah. For wrong-doers there must be a grievous penalty."*
24 Al-Hijr Verse 66 (15:66:1) وَقَضَيْنَٓا وقضينا ve kadaynâ And We conveyed ق ض ي
Yusuf Ali (English) And We made known this decree to him, that the last remnants of those (sinners) should be cut off by the morning.(1991)*

Yusuf Ali (English) Thy Lord hath decreed that ye worship none but Him, and that ye be kind to parents. Whether one or both of them attain old age in thy life,(2204) say not to them a word of contempt, nor repel them, but address them in terms of honour.*
27 Maryam Verse 21 (19:21:15) مَقْضِيًّا مقضيا makdiyyâ(n) decreed.- ق ض ي
Yusuf Ali (English) He said: "So (it will be): Thy Lord saith, ´that is easy for Me: and (We wish) to appoint him as a Sign unto men and a Mercy from Us´:(2473) It is a matter (so) decreed."(2474)*
28 Maryam Verse 35 (19:35:10) قَضٰٓى قضى kadâ He decrees ق ض ي
Yusuf Ali (English) It is not befitting to (the majesty of) Allah that He should beget a son. Glory be to Him! when He determines a matter, He only says to it, "Be", and it is.(2487)*
29 Maryam Verse 39 (19:39:5) قُضِيَ قضي kudiye has been decided ق ض ي
Yusuf Ali (English) But warn them of the Day of Distress,(2491) when the matter will be determined: for (behold,) they are negligent and they do not believe!*

Yusuf Ali (English) And he entered the city at a time when its people(3341) were not watching: and he found there two men fighting,- one of his own religion, and the other, of his foes. Now the man of his own religion appealed to him against his foe, and Moses struck(3342) him with his fist and made an end of him. He said: "This is a work of Evil (Satan): for he is an enemy that manifestly misleads!"*
38 Al-Qasas Verse 28 (28:28:7) قَضَيْتُ قضيت kadaytu I complete ق ض ي
Yusuf Ali (English) He said: "Be that (the agreement) between me and thee: whichever of the two terms I fulfil, let there be no ill-will to me. Be Allah a witness to what we say."(3358)*
39 Al-Qasas Verse 29 (28:29:2) قَضٰى قضى kadâ Musa fulfilled ق ض ي
Yusuf Ali (English) Now when Moses had fulfilled the term, and was travelling(3359) with his family, he perceived a fire in the direction of Mount Tur. He said to his family: "Tarry ye; I perceive a fire; I hope to bring you from there some information, or a burning firebrand, that ye may warm yourselves."(3360)*
40 Al-Qasas Verse 44 (28:44:6) قَضَيْنَٓا قضينا kadaynâ We decreed ق ض ي
Yusuf Ali (English) Thou wast not on the Western(3376) side when We decreed the Commission to Moses, nor wast thou a witness (of those events).*
41 Al-Ahzab Verse 23 (33:23:11) قَضٰى قضى kadâ has fulfilled ق ض ي
Yusuf Ali (English) Among the Believers are men who have been true to their covenant with Allah. of them some have completed(3697) their vow (to the extreme), and some (still) wait: but they have never changed (their determination) in the least:*

Yusuf Ali (English) It is not fitting for a Believer, man or woman, when a matter has been decided by Allah and His Messenger to have any option about their decision:(3721) if any one disobeys Allah and His Messenger, he is indeed on a clearly wrong Path.*
43 Al-Ahzab Verse 37 (33:37:27) قَضٰى قضى kadâ ended ق ض ي
Yusuf Ali (English) Behold! Thou didst say to one who had received the grace of Allah(3722) and thy favour: "Retain thou (in wedlock) thy wife, and fear Allah." But thou didst hide in thy heart(3723) that which Allah was about to make manifest: thou didst fear the people, but it is more fitting that thou shouldst(3724) fear Allah. Then when Zaid had dissolved (his marriage) with her, with the necessary(3725) (formality), We joined her in marriage to thee: in order that (in future) there may be no difficulty to the Believers in (the matter of) marriage with the wives(3726) of their adopted sons, when the latter have dissolved with the necessary (formality) (their marriage) with them. And Allah's command must be fulfilled.*
44 Al-Ahzab Verse 37 (33:37:42) قَضَوْا قضوا kadav they have ended ق ض ي
Yusuf Ali (English) Behold! Thou didst say to one who had received the grace of Allah(3722) and thy favour: "Retain thou (in wedlock) thy wife, and fear Allah." 45 Saba Verse 14 (34:14:2) قَضَيْنَا قضينا kadaynâ We decreed ق ض ي
Yusuf Ali (English) Then, when We decreed (Solomon´s) death, nothing showed them his death except a little(3808) worm of the earth, which kept (slowly) gnawing away at his staff: so when he fell down, the Jinns saw(3809) plainly that if they had known the unseen, they would not have tarried in the humiliating Penalty (of their Task).*
46 Fatir Verse 36 (35:36:7) يُقْضٰى يقضى yukdâ is decreed ق ض ي
Yusuf Ali (English) But those who reject (Allah) - for them will be the Fire of Hell:(3925) No term shall be determined for them, so they should die, nor shall its Penalty be lightened for them. Thus do We reward every ungrateful one!*
47 Az-Zumar Verse 42 (39:42:13) قَضٰى قضى kadâ He has decreed ق ض ي
Yusuf Ali (English) It is Allah that takes the souls (of men) at death;(4306) and those that die not (He takes) during their sleep:(4307) those on whom He has passed the decree of death, He keeps back(4308) (from returning to life), but the rest He sends (to their bodies) for a term appointed verily in this are Signs(4309) for those who reflect.*

Yusuf Ali (English) And the Earth will shine with the Glory of its Lord:(4344) the Record (of Deeds) will be placed (open); the prophets and the witnesses will be brought forward and a just decision(4345) pronounced between them; and they will not be wronged (in the least).*

Yusuf Ali (English) And thou wilt see the angels surrounding the Throne (Divine) on all sides, singing Glory and Praise to their Lord. The Decision between them (at Judgment) will be in (perfect) justice, and the cry (on all sides) will be, "Praise be to Allah,(4355) the Lord of the Worlds!"*
50 Ghafir Verse 20 (40:20:2) يَقْض۪ي يقضي yakdî judges ق ض ي
Yusuf Ali (English) And Allah will judge with (justice and) Truth: but those whom (men) invoke besides Him, will not (be in a position) to judge at all. Verily it is Allah (alone) Who hears and sees(4385) (all things).*
