Yusuf Ali (English) Of the Jews there are those who displace words from their (right) places, and say: "We hear and we disobey";(565) and "Hear what is not Heard"; and "Ra´ina";(566) with a twist of their tongues and a slander to Faith. If only they had said: "We hear and we obey"; and "Do hear"; and "Do look at us"; it would have been better for them, and more proper; but Allah hath cursed them for their Unbelief; and but few of them will believe.*
6 An-Nisa Verse 102 (4:102:53) تَضَعُٓوا تضعوا tada’û you lay down و ض ع
Yusuf Ali (English) When thou (O Messenger. art with them, and standest to lead them in prayer, Let one party of them stand up (in prayer) with thee, Taking their arms with them: When they finish their prostrations, let them Take their position in the rear. And let the other party come up which hath not yet prayed - and let them pray with thee, Taking all precaution, and bearing arms: the Unbelievers wish, if ye were negligent of your arms and your baggage, to assault you in a single rush.(618) But there is no blame on you if ye put away your arms because of the inconvenience of rain or because ye are ill; but take (every) precaution for yourselves. For the Unbelievers Allah hath prepared a humiliating punishment.*
7 Al-Ma'idah Verse 13 (5:13:11) مَوَاضِعِه۪ۙ مواضعه mevâdi’ihi their places و ض ع
Yusuf Ali (English) But because of their breach of their covenant, We cursed them,(712) and made their hearts grow hard; they change the words from their (right) places and forget a good part of the message that was sent them, nor wilt thou cease to find them- barring a few - ever bent on (new) deceits:(713) but forgive them, and overlook(714) (their misdeeds): for Allah loveth those who are kind.*
8 Al-Ma'idah Verse 41 (5:41:32) مَوَاضِعِه۪ۚ مواضعه mevâdi’ih(i) their context و ض ع
Yusuf Ali (English) O Messenger. let not those grieve thee, who race each other into unbelief:(744) (whether it be) among those who say "We believe" with their lips but whose hearts have no faith; or it be among the Jews,- men who will listen to any lie,- will listen even to others who have never so much as come(745) to thee. They change the words from their (right) times(746) and places: they say, "If ye are given this, take it, but if not, beware!" If any one´s trial is intended by Allah, thou hast no authority in the least for him against Allah. For such - it is not Allah.s will to purify their hearts. For them there is disgrace in this world, and in the Hereafter a heavy punishment.*
9 Al-A'raf Verse 157 (7:157:0) وَيَضَعُ ويضع ve yeda’u and he relieves و ض ع
Yusuf Ali (English) "Those who follow the messenger, the unlettered Prophet, whom they find mentioned in their own (scriptures),-(1127) in the law and the Gospel;- for he commands them what is just and forbids them what is evil; he allows them as lawful what is good (and pure) and prohibits them from what is bad (and impure); He releases them from their heavy burdens and from the yokes(1128) that are upon them. So it is those who believe in him, honour him, help him, and follow the light which is sent down with him,-(1129) it is they who will prosper."(1130)*
10 At-Tawbah Verse 47 (9:47:0) وَلَا۬اَوْضَعُوا ولااوضعوا ve le-evda’û and would have been active و ض ع
Yusuf Ali (English) If they had come out with you, they would not have added to your (strength) but only (made for) disorder, hurrying to and fro in your midst(1310) and sowing sedition among you, and there would have been some among you who would have listened to them. But Allah knoweth well those who do wrong.*
11 Al-Kahf Verse 49 (18:49:1) وَوُضِعَ ووضع ve vudi’a And (will) be placed و ض ع
Yusuf Ali (English) And the Book (of Deeds) will be placed (before you); and thou wilt see the sinful in great terror because of what is (recorded) therein; they will say, "Ah! woe to us! what a Book is this! It leaves out nothing small or great, but takes account thereof!" They will find all that they did, placed before them: And not one will thy Lord treat with injustice.(2391)*
12 Al-Anbiya Verse 47 (21:47:1) وَنَضَعُ ونضع ve nada’u And We set و ض ع
Yusuf Ali (English) We shall set up scales of justice for the Day of Judgment, so that not a soul will be dealt with unjustly in the least, and if there be (no more than) the weight of a mustard seed,(2707) We will bring it (to account): and enough are We to take account.(2708)*

Yusuf Ali (English) The Day ye shall see it, every mother giving suck shall forget her suckling- babe, and every pregnant female shall drop her load (unformed): thou shalt see mankind as in a drunken riot,(2771) yet not drunk: but dreadful will be the Wrath of Allah.*

Yusuf Ali (English) O ye who believe!(3033) Let those whom your right hands(3034) possess, and the (children) among you who have not come of age(3035) ask your permission (before they come to your presence), on three occasions: before morning prayer; the while ye doff your clothes for the noonday heat; and after the latenight prayer: these are your three times(3036) of undress: outside those times it is not wrong for you or for them to move about attending to each other: Thus does Allah make clear the Signs to you: for Allah is full of knowledge and wisdom.*

Yusuf Ali (English) Such elderly women(3040) as are past the prospect of marriage,- there is no blame on them if they lay aside their (outer) garments, provided they make not a wanton display of their beauty: but it is best for them to be modest: and Allah is One Who sees and knows(3041) all things.*
16 Fatir Verse 11 (35:11:16) تَضَعُ تضع teda’u gives birth و ض ع
Yusuf Ali (English) And Allah did create(3884) you from dust; then from a sperm-drop; then(3885) He made you in pairs. And no female conceives, or lays down (her load), but with His knowledge. Nor is a man long-lived granted length of days, nor is a part cut off from his life, but is in a Decree(3886) (ordained). All this is easy to Allah.(3887)*
17 Az-Zumar Verse 69 (39:69:5) وَوُضِعَ ووضع ve vudi’a and (will) be placed و ض ع
Yusuf Ali (English) And the Earth will shine with the Glory of its Lord:(4344) the Record (of Deeds) will be placed (open); the prophets and the witnesses will be brought forward and a just decision(4345) pronounced between them; and they will not be wronged (in the least).*

Yusuf Ali (English) To Him is referred(4519) the Knowledge of the Hour (of Judgment: He knows all): No date-fruit comes out of its sheath, nor does a female conceive (within her womb) nor bring forth the Day that (Allah) will propound to them the (question),(4520) "Where are the partners (ye attributed to Me?" They will say, "We do assure thee not one of us can bear witness!"*
19 Al-Ahqaf Verse 15 (46:15:8) وَوَضَعَتْهُ ووضعته ve vada’athu and gave birth to him و ض ع
Yusuf Ali (English) We have enjoined on man(4789) kindness to his parents: In pain did his mother bear him, and in pain did she give him birth. The carrying of the (child) to his weaning is (a period of) thirty months.(4790) At length, when he reaches the age of full strength(4791) and attains forty years, he says, "O my Lord! Grant me that I may be grateful for Thy favour which Thou has bestowed upon me, and upon both my parents, and that I may work righteousness such as Thou mayest approve; and be gracious to me in my issue. Truly have I turned to Thee and truly do I bow (to Thee) in Islam."*
20 Muhammad Verse 4 (47:4:18) تَضَعَ تضع teda’a lays down و ض ع
Yusuf Ali (English) Therefore, when ye meet(4820) the Unbelievers (in fight), smite at their necks; At length, when ye have thoroughly subdued them, bind a bond(4821) firmly (on them): thereafter (is the time for) either generosity or ransom:(4822) Until the war lays down its burdens. Thus (are ye commanded): but if it had been Allah's Will, He could certainly have exacted retribution from them (Himself); but (He lets you fight) in order to test you,(4823) some with others. But those who are slain(4824) in the Way of Allah,- He will never let their deeds be lost.*
21 Ar-Rahman Verse 7 (55:7:3) وَوَضَعَ ووضع ve vada’a and He has set up و ض ع
Yusuf Ali (English) And the Firmament has He raised high, and He has set up the Balance (of Justice),(5177)*

Yusuf Ali (English) Such of your women as have passed the age of monthly courses, for them the prescribed period, if ye have any doubts, is three months, and for those who have no courses (it is the same):(5513) for those who carry (life within their wombs), their period is until they deliver their burdens: and for those who fear Allah, He will make their path easy.(5514)*
