| Yusuf Ali (English) | Among them are men who molest the Prophet and say, "He is (all) ear."(1321) Say, "He listens to what is best for you: he believes in Allah, has faith in the Believers, and is a Mercy to those of you who believe." But those who molest the Messenger will have a grievous penalty.* | |||||

| Yusuf Ali (English) | They swear by Allah that they said nothing (evil), but indeed they uttered blasphemy, and they did it after accepting Islam; and they meditated(1331) a plot which they were unable to carry out: this revenge of theirs was (their) only return for the bounty with which Allah and His Messenger had enriched them! If they repent, it will be best for them; but if they turn back (to their evil ways), Allah will punish them with a grievous penalty in this life and in the Hereafter: They shall have none on earth to protect or help them.* | |||||

| Yusuf Ali (English) | Whether thou ask for their forgiveness, or not, (their sin is unforgivable): if thou ask seventy times(1334) for their forgiveness, Allah will not forgive them: because they have rejected Allah and His Messenger. and Allah guideth not those who are perversely rebellious.* | |||||

Aye, indeed they bring them nearer (to Him): soon will Allah admit them to His Mercy(1347): for Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.* | |||||

| Yusuf Ali (English) | And strive in His cause as ye ought to strive, (with sincerity and under discipline).(2861) He has chosen you, and has imposed no difficulties on you(2862) in religion; it is the cult of your father Abraham. It is He Who has named you Muslims, both before(2863) and in this (Revelation); that the Messenger may be a witness for you, and ye be witnesses for mankind!(2864) So establish regular Prayer, give regular Charity, and hold fast to Allah. He is your Protector - the Best to protect and the Best to help!* | |||||
| 88 | An-Nur Verse 2 (24:2:19) | بِاللّٰهِ | بالله | bi(A)llâhi | in Allah | اللَّهُ |
| Yusuf Ali (English) | The woman and the man guilty of adultery or fornication,-(2954) flog each of them with a hundred stripes:(2955) Let not compassion move you in their case, in a matter prescribed by Allah, if ye believe in Allah and the Last Day: and let a party of the Believers witness their punishment.(2956)* | |||||

| Yusuf Ali (English) | They said: "Swear a mutual oath by Allah that we shall make a secret night attack on him and his people,(3287) and that we shall then say to his heir (when he seeks vengeance): ´We were not present at the slaughter of his people, and we are positively telling the truth.´"* | |||||

| Yusuf Ali (English) | Then there are among men such as say, "We believe in Allah.; but when they suffer affliction in (the cause of) Allah, they treat men´s oppression as if it were the Wrath of Allah. And if help comes (to thee) from thy Lord, they are sure to say,(3433) "We have (always) been with you!" Does not Allah know best all that is in the hearts of all creation?* | |||||
