Yusuf Ali (English) Or do they envy mankind for what Allah hath given them of his bounty? but We had already given the people of Abraham the Book and Wisdom, and conferred upon them a great kingdom.(576)*

Yusuf Ali (English) And We made a people, considered weak (and of no account), inheritors of lands in both east and west, - lands whereon We sent down Our blessings. The fair promise of thy Lord was fulfilled for the Children of Israel, because they had patience and constancy, and We levelled to the ground the great works and fine buildings which Pharaoh and his people erected (with such pride).(1096)*

Yusuf Ali (English) Then they rejected him (as a false prophet), and they hamstrung her.(6157) So their Lord, on account of their crime, obliterated their traces and made them equal (in destruction, high and low)!*
