Surah Al-Jinn Verse 1

5727 Revelation may be through various channels, and one of the channels may be a vision, by which the Prophet sees and hears events clearly passing before him. This particular vision may be the same as that referred to more briefly in 46:29-32, where see n. 4809. The Jinns had evidently heard of previous revelations, that of Moses (46:30), and the error of Trinitarian Christianity (72:3). The people from whom they come have all sorts of good and bad persons, but they are determined to preach the good Message of Unity which they have heard and believed in. 5728 For Jinns, see n. 929 to 6:100. (R). 5729 The Holy Qur'an would be to them a wonderful Recital-both in subject matter and in the circumstance that it had come in Arabia among a pagan and ignorant nation.
